My name is Kristen and I’m a country girl that lives in the city. My hometown is Castroville, Texas, population 2,664. After graduating from college I moved to Houston, Texas, the fourth largest city in the US.
I started my original Country Girl in the City blog on blogspot a few years ago as a way to share my favorite recipes with friends and family. I am always trying new recipes and had several friends that were always asking me to share my favorite recipes with them. Unfortunately, my busy schedule kept me from keeping up with my blog. So I decided that in 2011 I would make it a goal to take better care of my blog. I started with the move to wordpress and am trying to learn more about my (poor little point and shoot) camera so I can start taking better pictures.
